Samir joined Hamza & Partners in 1999 and has been practicing law for 23 years. Registered as an agent of patents, his practice focuses on the registration of trademarks, drafting of intellectual property contracts and handling intellectual property related disputes. He is also well-versed in drafting commercial and civil agreements, as well as establishing companies. He is additionally an expert in advising on financial restructurings especially within the heavy industries sector, as well as in real estate law, in which he has a successful track record in real estate transactions.

    • Advised a key player in the heavy industries sector on potential real estate acquisitions, performing extensive legal due diligences on each potential asset.

    • Handled an internal investigation for a heavy industries company in Egypt regarding a fire in one of its factories. The investigation resulted in the termination of the ten employees at fault.

    • Acted as co-counsel with Dentons to Kandil For Steel Manufacturing on their restructuring in order to facilitate a foreign investment of more than EGP 60 million.

    • Represented Cairo International Company in intellectual property related matters, including the registration of their trademark.

    • Advised Carrefour on a real estate acquisition, including the performance of a full-fledged due diligence report.
